On Saturday, Jenn, Donnie, Rachel, Maglee and I decided that it was time for a much needed visit to St. Joseph and the beaches of Lake Michigan. The sun was out, and although it was a little cool for a bike ride, we decided that it would be a perfect day to walk the beach. It was so pretty out there with the vacant sands and splashing waves. I'll let the pictures give you an idea of the fun we had...
Can you tell who is Jennifer and who is Rachel? |
Then, yesterday, to fully enjoy the amazing weather, we had to go for a ride. Rachel has recently decided to do her first triathlon this summer and has started training. She and Donnie just bought some road bikes, and we had to break them in. So, the four of us and our friend, Jonathan, went out for a little spin.
We only did 10 miles for the newbies, but Jenn and I went back out and rode 17 more. It was such a beautiful day, and it was nice to get a little sun on the freshly shaved legs! I missed them over the winter. Just so you know, Jennifer and I went to the pool TWICE last week just for fun. It was great to get back to swimming some laps. By the way, my Timex watch that I showed you HERE is amazing in the pool! It works perfectly by tapping the screen for a new lap. I highly recommend it for anyone that is searching for a new one.
Lastly, I wanted to thank you all for so many kind, thoughtful comments on my last post about our frustration with the future. Every one of them really was encouraging and brightened my day. Thanks for the comfort. We still don't know where we're going, but we are meeting with the ministerial directors of our conference tonight, so hopefully we'll know something soon.
Have a blessed week, and ENJOY THE WEATHER!!!
